Preparatory work

Choose a spot which people will not notice to check whether the floor
covering and underlay are suited to this cleaning method.

Perform a color fastness test. Check water resistance.

Equip and prepare the machine. Fit the water tank. Choose the right brush.
Follow the operating instructions.

Add the cleaning solution, correctly dosed, to the water tank.
Choose the right product for the floor covering and use the right dosage.

Remove any loose dirt.

Remove any stains.

Put up the warning sign.

Main work involved

On a separate piece of carpet, start by generating some foam with the
shampooing brush.

Self-laying and watertight starter carpet: e.g., dirttrapping mat

Work on the edges and corners with foam and a soft hand brush, tapping the
carpet as you go (do not rub it!).

Spread the shampooing solution using a single-brush machine and a brush.
Working in sections and using circular movements, apply to 2-3 strips.
Draw up the pile manually, using a brush.

Leave the floor covering to dry out completely: 8-24 hours.
Do not walk on surface until completely dry!

Final steps

Once the drying period is over, make sure you brush/dry vacuum clean the
whole area of the carpet.

Empty the tank, clean the machines and cleaning materials.
Wash the pad/brush or replace if necessary.
